Framework
The DIEM-SSP concept is based on a 3-layer architecture that, starting from a system of real systems that usually includes more interconnected CIs (first layer), proposes the development of new emergency procedures and methodologies to be used in case of accidents / disasters affecting the CIs.
These procedures and methodologies should be applied both within the First-Aid and Hospitals Facilities and outside at the disaster site to support the optimal location of the structures involved, the routing of critical patients and the reduction of human errors in emergency management (second level).
Finally, the third layer is a simulated system of systems environment that includes two families of simulators that will be respectively used for testing the new emerging procedures within the First-Aid and Hospital facilities and outside in the place of the CI or toward the First-Aid and Hospital Facilities.
